Govt should take action against those involve in committing torture: Governor Gilgit-Baltistan

The Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan Dr. Shama Khalid has demanded the government to take action against the rising number of atrocities committed on women. She warned that living condition for women cannot improve until male of members the society do not change.Shama Khalid was talking to media outside Karachi Airport where she urged that the Human Rights violation should be dealt strictly. She said the government along with the society holds responsibility for the cruelties committed against women. She strongly urged that improving educational facilities for women can help to curtail such incidents. She also informed that the protests at Atabad have been organized by her opponents.
