LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (OLHC) on Thursday has formed a two-member bench to hear supermodel Ayyan Ali’s bail plea, Dunya News reported.

A two-member bench comprising of Justice Anwar-ul-Haq and Justice Arshad Mahmood would hear the petition today in Lahore.

Earlier, LHC’s judge Abdul Sami heard the case during which, Ali’s counsel Khurram Lateef Khosa said that his client is innocent and a case has been forged against her. The court ordered Khosa to first explain grounds on which the second bail plea was filed.

Khosa said that the plea was filed against Customs Appellate Bench’s verdict. According to the law, only LHC’s two-member bench could hold hearing of plea against bench’s verdict, he added.

The court accepted Ayyan’s bail plea for further hearing.
