ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has ensured all the preparations for the first-ever local government elections in Islamabad as final list of contesting candidates would be displayed today (Monday), Dunya News reported.
The final list of candidates along with the electoral symbols would be displayed outside the offices of all the deployed returning officers (ROs) while the printing process of the ballot papers would start by tomorrow.
As per details, almost 4500 candidates have been finalized to contest in 79 union councils (UCs) whereas more than 6 lac voters would utilize their voting right.
Moreover, the federal capital would hold LB polls on July 25.
