Summary Scotland Yard had interrogated MQM Muhammad Anwar and Tariq Mir separately in 2012, states document
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Dunya News on Wednesday has obtained a document which was prepared for Sarfraz Merchant’s interrogation held on April 15 2015 regarding money laundering accusations by the Balgravia Police, London.
A pre-interview briefing was prepared before the interrogation. The document states that the Scotland Yard had interrogated Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Muhammad Anwar and Tariq Mir separately in 2012. Both the members confessed that MQM is funded by India. They further said that several illegal sources also fund the party.

The document states that Merchant was arrested on December 5 2013 for money laundering investigation. Huge stack of cash was seized from a building under MQM’s control during a raid. The police also said that the department found evidences against MQM for violating electoral rules in the country.
