Summary Number of deaths have reached 1256
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Deaths caused by heat strokes are on the rise as 369 deaths have occurred in Jinnah hospital alone. The number of deaths has reached the figure of 1256.
The casualty count that occurred inside a given hospital within the span of last 10 days due to heat strokes is reported as follows:
Abbasi Shaheed Hospital: 204 deaths
Civil Hospital: 176 deaths
Karachi Municipal Corporation-run hospitals: 36 deaths
Sindh Government New Hospital: 27 deaths
Korangi Hospital: 27 deaths
Sindh Government Qatar Hospital: 39 deaths
Sindh Government Lyari General Hospital: 17 deaths
National Institue of Cardiology: 51 deaths
Private hospitals that have reported deaths by heatstroke include Agha Khan Hospital, Patil Hosptial, Memon Medical Hospital, Indus Hospital and Ziauddin Hospital.
Hospitals management has said that there has been a reduction in casualties ever since weather has improved in the metropolitan city.
