Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that the terrorists are infiltrating into Pakistan via Afghanistan, and asked the Afghan government to take some action against it. Talking to media in Islamabad on Sunday, the minister said that the activists of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Sipah-e-Sihaba do not follow any religion and only acting upon the directives of their leaders. He maintained that the terrorists wanted to unleash sectarian clashes in the country. He hinted at involvement of some third power behind the ongoing terrorist activities that wanted to destabilize the country. Malik said one of the two suicide bombers who detonated themselves at Data Darbar, Lahore has been identified.
