ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Thursday chaired a meeting of the cabinet committee for energy and discussed matters including power outages during Ramazan.

The PM chaired the 16th meeting of the cabinet committee in the capital.

The meeting discussed several hot issues including the distribution of electricity in Karachi and power outages during Ramazan. Water and Power Secretary Younis Dhaga briefed the meeting about electricity demand, production and load shedding.

The members also discussed the power shortage in Sindh metropolitan, Karachi. The cabinet meeting was further briefed about energy projects for the coming three years.

The meeting was attended by Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and other federal ministers including Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal and Khawaja Saad Rafique.
