IG Nasir Durrani terms KP police apolitical
He stated that the name of Mian Iftikhar is still not exempted from FIR.
NOWSHERA (Dunya News) – Inspector General of police (IG) Nasir Durrani on Thursday has termed the behavior of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police as apolitical, Dunya News reported.
While talking to the media after attending the ceremony arranged to welcome new officers of combat unit at Nowshera Hakeemabad Training Centre, IG police said that this unit has been developed to counter terrorism and thanked Pakistan Army and Navy for training the new cadets.
He added that the first information report (FIR) against leader of Awami National Party (ANP) Mian Iftikhar was registered according to the need of that time.
He further affirmed that investigation into the killing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker is underway and stated that the name of Mian Iftikhar is still not exempted from FIR.
