Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik says a conspiracy is being hatched to trigger ethnic riots and to sabotage peace and harmony among the residents of Punjab.Rehman Malik was holding a press conference in Islamabad where he called upon people to maintain inter-faith harmony among them and prove their unity. He said that terrorists have targeted and killed hundreds of innocent people in Karachi in an attempt to trigger ethnic riots. He reiterated that the entire Pakistani nation stand united against the menace of terrorism. He said that the attacks on Data Darbar marks an attack on the entire nation. The Ulemas have demanded from the government to take action against banned organizations including Lashkar-i-Jhangvi, Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan and Al Qaeda who were carrying out terrorist attacks to destabilize the country.
