Summary Production cost per unit amounted to 6.4 rupees while units were sold at 8.9 rupees in March
Islamabad (Dunya News) – Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) passed a recommendation on Monday to decrease the tariff on electricity by 2 rupees 50 paisas per unit. Final decision regarding the price reduction will be taken on Tuesday, reported Dunya News.
CPPI has passed a recommendation to National Electrical Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to decrease the electricity tariff for the month of March under the head of fuel adjustment.
NEPRA officials said that the production cost per electricity unit amounted to 6 rupee 4 paisas while units were sold to consumers at 8 rupees 9 paisas for the month of March.
The hearing of the case to reduce the electricity price will begin on Tuesday after which final decision shall be taken to reduce the electricity tariff.
