QUETTA (Dunya News) – Lawyers boycotted the courts in Balochistan province including Quetta over the tragic Mustang carnage, Dunya News reported on Monday.
According to details, lawyers alongwith the citizens also mourned the victims of the incident on the third day.
On the call of Balochistan bar association and High Court bar association lawyers boycotted the courts for one day and din dot appeared in High Court, Session Court, District Courts and other sub-ordinate courts.
Besides this black flags were also raised on the bar rooms whereas no proceeding was carried out in any court of the districts which included Pasheen, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Zhob, Ziarat, Khazdar and Panchgor.
The lawyers were of the view that the brutal massacre has left everyone in a state of shock and grief and vowed to stand-by the nation to defeat terrorism.
Moreover, the hearing of hundreds of cases including Bugti murder case was adjourned till the next date due to the strike.
Earlier, terrorists disguised as security forces personnel killed 20 people after kidnapping 35 passengers from two coaches on Friday. The incident occurred near Khad Koch area of Mastung.
The armed terrorists stopped the coaches bound for Karachi from Pasheen and took the passengers into nearby hills.
According to the District Coordination Officer (DCO) Mastung and security sources, the 15-20 armed militants dressed in security forces’ uniforms came in double cabin vehicles.
A heavy contingent of Frontier Corps (FC), Levies and police personnel arrived at the scene and started an operation against the terrorists. An exchange of fire went on between the police and the militants long into the night.
Provincial Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti informed that the security forces rescued 5 people during the operation.
