Daska incident: Lawyers' boycott courts partially on fifth day

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lawyers  strike in subordinate courts continues on fifth day in a reaction to the Daska incident, Dunya News reported on Friday.

At least two lawyers were killed on Monday in clashes with police when an anti-encroachment drive turned violent in Punjab province s Daska city, forcing authorities to deploy paramilitary forces to contain the unrest.

According to details, on the call of Lahore bar association lawyers have observed a partial strike against Daska incident by boycotting all the session and subordinate courts due to which several cases are pending.

However, the security arrangements of LHC and subordinate courts are still in the hands of Rangers and police have not been given the charge yet.
