One of the two suicide bombers, who struck Data Darbar the other day, has been identified by the agencies on Friday (today). The suicide bomber, whose name is said to be Usman (16) is the first terrorist who blew himself up in the basement of the shrine meant for ablution. Sources said that Usmans family recognized him on the CCTV footage while the sensitive agency arrested Usmans brother. The number of those killed in two suicide attacks on Data Darbar has risen to 44, while the police have given 25 bodies to the heirs after identification. Hours after the deadly terror attack, a large number of worshipers Friday offered Fajar prayers at the shrine of Hazrat Data Gunj Buksh. The shrine was opened for the devotees four hours after the attack while Quran Khawani was also held to pay homage to those killed in the audacious attack. Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has announced a compensation of Rs0.5million for the victims families and Rs75,000 for the injured. A report, warning a likely suicide attack at Data Darbar, had been sent to the provincial government and Darbar administration on June 29, but was ignored, sources said. Extraordinary security steps have been adopted at all big and small shrines throughout Punjab and Lahore.On the other hand, all the business centers and markets are shut as Lahores traders announced a mourning today. All the bazaars including The Mall, Shah Alam Market, Anarkali, Hall Road, Liberty, Ichra are closed. The traders vowed to combat the menace of terrorism jointly. Two alleged suicide bombers blew themselves up at the Data Ganj Bakhsh shrine on Thursday night, killing at least 44 people and injuring 170 others.
