Summary Unlike 15 or 20 years ago, a by-election does take over the social media by storm

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) won by-election in PP-196 of Multan on Thursday. After every party’s claims of having the people of Multan in their pocket, it was finally known this evening, who actually has the support of people.

Multan is the city of former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani of Pakistan People s Party (PPP) and situated in the Southern Punjab, many might not have expected a PML-N victory in by-elections.

General elections of 2013 visibly changed the traditional game of politics. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) targeted youth as their main voters and the urban youth of Pakistan found it  trendy and fashionable  to be a voter and supporter of some political party. It was way too different from the traditional youth support in past like student movements or PPP ‘Jayala’ style. The young political supporters of 21st century like to conquer the enemy (they take their opponents so seriously…seriously!) on the internet.

Unlike 15 or 20 years ago, a by-election does take over the social media by storm now making their graphic designers and creative writers really busy.

Here are some tweets consisting of some really creative stuff found on Twitter after the win of PML-N in PP-196 constituency of Multan.

So Einstien did say something about Pakistanis

A reaction from Pakistan’s ‘talented and educated’ youth… (Boys! Seriously you can do better than this)

We love to declare others fake…so it’s a Sher from toyshop, not from a sports shop (like a Balla may be!!!)

No doubt Khawaja Asif has become a meme already

From Multan with love

Well…

When you have no logic in your joke but still want to troll

According to this logic, Kalsoom Nawaz must be a BIG good luck charm (We are politically  aware  but still hate women)

After listening so much ‘Go Nawaz Go’ this confidence is really praise-worthy
