QUETTA (Dunya News) – Polio campaign in Balochistan has been postponed for a week after the boycott of Union Council (UC) medical officers on non-payment of dues, Dunya News reported on Monday.

According to details, the medical officers of UC-37 have boycotted the three day anti-polio drive which was to be initiated from today in the province.

Earlier, the doctors while doing a press conference demanded immediate payment of dues but no step was taken in this regard on which they refused to commence the anti-polio drive.

Besides this the owners of the vehicles used for polio workers transportation has also been not paid.

More than 4 lac children under five years of age were to be inoculated polio drops during the campaign.
