Dead bodies of Indonesian, Malaysian envoys' wives will be sent home tomorrow with special protocol

RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Funeral prayers of the martyrs of Naltar accident Major Iltumish, Major Faisal and Soobedar Zakir were offered on Saturday in Rawalpindi. The dead bodies of the wives of Indonesian and Malaysian envoys will be sent home in special jets with complete protocol on Sunday, reported Dunya News.

Heads of all three armed forces attended the funerals while senior civil-military leaders and soldiers were also present on this occasion. Pakistan army’s troops gave guard of honor to the martyrs on this occasion.

Earlier, bodies of Major Iltumish, Major Faisal and Soobedar Zakir, wrapped up in Pakistan flags, along with the dead bodies of the 4 envoys were brought to Noor Khan Airbase Rawalpindi in helicopters from Gilgit. Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and senior army officials paid tribute to the martyrs on this occasion. Many foreign envoys were also present at the Noor Khan Airbase on this occasion to pay final regards to their fellow countrymen.

Emotional scenes were observed on this occasion. Army chief went to the aggrieved son of a foreign envoy as he wiped off his tears. Army chief soothed him with encouraging words.
