KP storm third worst of its kind in country's history: PMD
More than 200 people have been injured due to the torrential rains related incidents
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported that the storm in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) was the third worst natural disaster of its kind in the history of the country.
The PMD reported that the KP storm was the third worst of its kind however, it is over. Regular rains will continue from now on.
PMD Director Muhammad Haneef said that wind blowing at at least 110 Km/hour caused the catastrophe.
Earlier, the natural disaster claimed at least 44 lives and grounded several buildings in Peshawar and other areas. More than 200 people have been injured due to the torrential rains related incidents. Several families have been affected as roofs of their houses collapsed.
