Polling on Senate general seat will be held on 13 May
Nomination papers for seat vacant after death of Azam Hoti can be submitted on 27 and 28 April
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced on Thursday the schedule of polling for the general seat which became vacant after the death of Senator Azam Hoti. According to ECP, polling for the vacant seat will be held on 13 May, reported Dunya News.
Nomination papers can be submitted on 27 and 28 April. Papers will be scrutinized on 29 and 30 April. Appeals against the rejection of nomination papers could be filed on 4 May while ECP will hear appeals till 6 May. Last date of withdrawing nomination papers is 7 May while the final list will be issued on 8 May.
Provincial Election Commissioner Senate will serve as the returning officer during the polling.
