Summary PTI's Imran Ismail secured 16,932 votes while JI's Rashid Naseem got 6,386 votes.
KARACHI (Dunya News) -- The polling in the NA-246 constituency has ended in at least 213 polling stations established in as many as 55 different schools. The polling ended at 5 pm today but those already inside polling stations were allowed to cast votes.
At least 3,000 Rangers personnel and 7,000 policemen were depolyed for the security of the voters and the staffers. The Rangers personnel also monitored polling in different stations through the monitor room.

The magistrate has been given authority over the Rangers deployed. Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) along with other parties are contesting the by-election.
