Summary There are 3.5 lac registered voters in NA-246 while 1 lac 32 thousand belong to Liaqatabad area
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Hundreds of voters from NA-246 protested on Wednesday against Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) saying that their names are not listed in the new voters lists.
Residents from different areas of Liaqatabad said that they casted their votes in general elections of 2013 but now they are not listed in voter lists. There are 3.5 lac registered voters in NA-246 while 1 lac 32 thousand belong to Liaqatabad area.
In some cases one person from a family is listed in the voter list while other family members are listed in some other constituency. Citizens say that it is failure of ECP. Voters of the area protested against ECP for not getting voter cards and their names not being listed in voter lists.
