ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif will pay a visit to Saudi Arabia to discuss Yemen conflict.
According to the PM Office spokesperson, the PM chaired a high-level meeting which was attended by several dignitaries including Federal Minister for Defense Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, COAS, Special Assistant to the PM on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry.
PM Nawaz endorsed the decision to end offensive in Yemen and resolve the conflict through political talks.
The meeting decided that the PM would leave for Saudi on April 23 for a one-day visit. He will express solidarity with the people of Saudi Arabia and discuss the Yemen situation.
The COAS, Fatemi, Foreign Secretary and Defense Minister will accompany PM on the visit.
