KARACHI (Dunya News) – The staffers of the polling stations on Wednesday have been handed over the polling material for the National Assembly (NA) seat by-election in NA-246 constituency under the supervision of the Rangers.

According to the details, a monitoring room has been established in the Deputy Commission’s (DC) Office. However, several polling stations lack CCTV cameras which were required in the current situation in the city of light.

The polling stations have been declared sensitive places while a ban on pillion riding imposed until April 24. The security of the polling stations has been tightened in light of the tensions in the city.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leveled allegations against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). According to PTI, MQM is involved in manipulation of the polling staff. However, MQM chief Altaf Hussain retaliated to the allegations saying that PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) had accepted their defeats in the by-election by leveling allegations.
