KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Siraj ul Haq said on Monday that his party will bring Karachi out of ‘operation theater’. The JI chief enquired as to why Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain could go to India but couldn’t come to Pakistan, reported Dunya News.

Talking to a rally at Nasirabad area of Karachi, the JI chief demanded the reason as to why perpetrators behind Baldia Town tragedy had not been caught. He asked whether 258 people who had perished while being burnt did not deserve justice.

Adressing the rally, JI chief asked that Altaf Hussain could go to India, why could he not come to Pakistan.

Siraj ul Haq said that his party would bring Karachi out of ‘operation theater’, adding that Altaf Hussain would feel free to roam the city on a bike when that happens.

JI chief said that his party does not believe in rigging and would not allow other parties to do the same.

Siraj ul Haq reiterated his stance on the deployment of biometric system adding that if biometric system could be used to verify 7 crore voters then why couldn’t it be used to verify 2 lac voters in by-elections.
