"Attendants of the rally must show exemplary discipline to make the world know they still love MQM"
KARACHI: (Dunya News, Web Desk) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has on Saturday said that MQM’s graph never went down. He said that MQM’s graph has only risen. “Attendants of the rally must display exemplary discipline to make the world know that the people still love Altaf Hussain”, said MQM chief.
Addressing a massive public meeting at Pakistan Avenue, Altaf Hussain said that even the drone camera failed to capture this mammoth meeting. He said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat Islami (JI) cannot beat the MQM even combined. He said that MQM will give a message of love to both these parties on 23rd of April.
Altaf Hussain said that MQM is a liberal and progressive party. “JI is a branch of Al-Qaeda”, he alleged. “Do the people want Taliban and their supporters in Karachi or MQM?” he questioned. He said that PTI is also the ‘political branch’ of Taliban. He said that the opponents of MQM must have panicked after watching this show of public support.
“I congratulate Kunwar Naveed Jamil for winning this election in advance”, said Altaf Hussain. Kunwar Naveed is MQM’s candidate for NA-246 by-elections. Naveed said on this occasion that he will always remain a humble worker of MQM.
MQM chief said that the people of Karachi have proven today that they want MQM in Karachi, not terrorists. He said that this rally has broken all previous records. He apologized for the mistakes in the past. He said that we shouldn t be enemies. "We want to see Pakistan progressing", he added.
"We ask for forgiveness from establishment for the mistakes we have made in the past. We will also forgive their mistakes in return", said Altaf.
"Allah has bestowed Pakistan with every blessing", said Altaf. He said that MQM will make Pakistan prosper if voted to power. He called for harmony among all the ethnic groups of Pakistan. "Rights should be given to Balochs, Pashtoons and Seraikis", he said. He urged the government of Pakistan to raise its voice for Kashmiris in United Nations. He said that foreign policy makers should make sure that their policies are in the best interest of the people of Pakistan and the image of Pakistan. Altaf said that Pakistan needs friends, not foes. "We don t need war, we need peace and trade", he added.
Addressing the establishment, MQM chief said that it should forgive MQM s mistakes and in return, MQM will forgive theirs.
Altaf said that if Europeans could make European Union (EU) after fighting the World War I and II, we can also make an Asian Union.
He said that killing people in the name of sect was a proof of stupidity. "Only idiots indulge into such things", he said.
Altaf Hussain said that Karachi was ranked third in the world when MQM was in power under local government system. He said that MQM supporters must not indulge into any fight during these few days. "It is a matter of four days only now. Forgive if someone abuses you. Your tolerance will bear fruit on 23rd of April", he added.
"Rangers must arrest anyone they suspect but should present them before the court", Altaf said.
Addressing the international community, MQM head said that MQM stood for equal opportunities for all segments of the society. He said that Pakistan will be a truly democratic country under MQM government. He said that MQM wanted respect for all religions and unity among them all. He said that nobody will be discriminated on the basis of religion under MQM government. "MQM wants to break the status-quo in the country and wants to bring positive changes in the country. We want to provide people with freedom, food, electricity and clean drinking water to the people of Pakistan", he added. He said that MQM is against all forms of violence. "We want an end to the class system in Pakistan", he said.
MQM chief said that Rangers must arrest anyone they suspect but should present them before the court. He said that MQM would never object to anything fair. He prayed for army s success in Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
"Karachi has given its verdict in MQM s favor, 23rd April will just be a formailty", says Dr. Farooq Sattar. "JI and PTI will contest for second position", says Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
Earlier, senior leaders of MQM addressed the rally. Dr. Farooq Sattar said on this occasion that people of Karachi have given their verdict in MQM s favor today and April 23 will just be a formality.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said on this occasion that JI and PTI will contest for second position on April 23. He said that MQM will wrap its opponents politics in a container and send them back to where they came from.
Haider Abbas Rizvi said that PTI will flee after elections. "Will JI leaders resign after losing the election?" he questioned.
Faisal Sabzwari said that PTI was an enemy of Karachi. He said that PTI wanted to cage this city, not free it.
MQM candidate Kunwar Naveed said that the people of Karachi knew well enough that only Altaf Hussain and MQM were loyal to Karachi.
MQM leaders said that the people of Karachi were a lively and MQM will defeat its opponents by massive margin in NA-246.
