FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) recovered two tons of explosive material and arrested one suspect from Faisalabad today (Saturday), Dunya News reported.
According to details, CIA police on a tip-off raided the area of Madina Town at Chak 229/RB and confiscated stored explosive material, 25 chemical drums filled with various types of gas and raw materials in which more than 40 bags contained dynamite.
All the explosives and chemical material was transferred to Chowki Tariqabad by the police officials.
Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was also called to dump the explosive materials.
The police also arrested one suspect Mazhar Aiwan whereas his companions fled from the scene.
Moreover, the arrested suspect has been shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation and search is underway for the escaped suspects.
