Mumtaz Qadri's appeal against death penalty admitted for hearing in SC
Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk has formed two-member bench for the hearing.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) has admitted the appeal of death row convict Mumtaz Qadri for hearing against Islamabad High Court’s (IHC’s) decision to maintain his death penalty, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
According to details, Chief Justice (CJ) Nasirul Mulk has formed two-member bench comprising of Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Umar Ata Bandial which will conduct the hearing on Monday.
Mumtaz Qadri, who murdered former governor Punjab Salman Taseer, filed an appeal at the SC against his death sentence.
