Summary Manzoor killed a police constable in 2001.
Vehari (Dunya News) – A murder convict was hanged early morning today (Saturday) in Vehari district jail, Dunya News reported.
The body was later handed over to the realtives.
The convict named as Manzoor Vasli opened fire on police over resistance during a robbery bid which claimed the life of a police constable Fida Hussain in 2001.
An anti-terrorism court sentenced him to death twice on which the convict appealed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) Multan bench but was dismissed.
Later, a mercy appeal was also made to President Mamnoon Hussain but it was rejected too on which his death warrants were issued on April 13.
