Summary LHC has rejected the plea to accept the resignations of PTI members including Imran Khan
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) has on Friday rejected the petition asking for the resignation of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) members, declaring the petition void, reported Dunya News.
LHC’s Justice Ejaz-ul Hassan was hearing the case. Petitioner Waseem Ahmed has maintained that PTI members remained absent from the assemblies for 7 months and a member who remains absent for such a long period of time automatically gets disqualified, according to the law. He requested the court to direct the speaker to accept PTI’s resignations.
However, LHC upheld the objections by the registrar office and dismissed the case.
