Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Asim Kurd would unveil the provincial budget for 2010-11 in the Balochistan Assembly on Monday. The budget is expected to have an outlay of over Rs150 billion. Sources said the deficit budget would include an annual development programme of Rs26 billion. Total receipts have been estimated at Rs144 billion and the total development and non-development expenditures at Rs152 billion. They said no new tax was being proposed in the budget. However, some changes would be proposed to the rates of local taxes to increase revenue. Over Rs10 billion would be allocated for mineral and other projects in the province, the sources said. Balochistan is expecting to receive considerable assistance from foreign donors.
