Pakistan People's Party (PPP) is celebrating the 57th birth anniversary of the party slain chairperson Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on Monday (today). President Asif Ali Zardari laid a floral wreathe and offered on BBs mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh. Quran Khawani was held at BBs last resting place, which was attended by a large number of PP workers. Sindh Police offered guard of honour to BB. The party has planned to organize different functions, seminars and events shedding lights on the life and achievements of its late chairperson, who was the first ever woman Prime Minister of the Muslim World. A seminar would also be held in the evening which would be presided by President Asif Ali Zardari. Heavy contingents of police and Rangers have been deployed in Naudero to maintain peace. BackgroundBenazir Bhutto, the late chairperson of PPP, was killed on November 27, 2007 after she addressed a public gathering at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi. TTP claimed the responsibility of the killing.
