KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers fell just short of a clash on Thursday as both had yet another face off in NA-246, Karachi. Workers on both sides chanted slogans against each other but didn’t get involved into a brawl, reported Dunya News.
The incident took place as PTI candidate for NA-246 by-election Imran Ismail was visiting Bandhani Colony during his election campaign and met some people. An independent candidate from the constituency Ashraf Ali Qureshi withdrew in Imran Ismail’s favor on this occasion. Imran Ismail said that people will attend PTI’s public meeting in large numbers.
Imran Ismail later went to have Nihari in Dastgir area and other PTI leaders including Naz Baloch also accompanied him on this occasion. MQM workers also started to gather on the venue when they saw Imran Ismail at Javed Nihari. They started raising slogans against PTI and in MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s favor.
