YDA calls off protest after successful negotiations

YDA indicated to announce future plan in joint press conference with the government.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Young Doctors’ Association (YDA) took back protest call today (Thursday) after successful negotiations with the government, Dunya News reported.

According to details, YDA threatened the government of blocking four important routes of the metropolis and also announced to held protest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. However, after successful negotiations with the government YDA called off their protest and indicated to announce future plan in joint press conference with the government.

The doctors have demanded the induction of doctors in BS-18 at the time of recruitment, raise in salaries, payment of salaries to 1,200 post-graduate trainees and release of stipend to the House Officers working in public health facilities that had don graduation from foreign or local private medical institutions.

YDA has also urged the government to assure provision of medicines in children and labour emergency units whereas projects in outdoor and burn units of hospitals should also be completed.
