BHAWALPUR (Dunya News) - Another death row convict has been sent to the gallows in Bhawalpur today (Tuesday), Dunya News reported.
Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) sentenced the inmate, Lonay Khan, to death in 2002 for slaying his brother-in-law in 2001 over domestic dispute.
The felon was to be hanged on March 25 but his execution was halted over signing an agreement with the opposite party. Later, deceased’s family refused to take 4 acres of land to dismiss the case and demanded the execution of the accused.
Moreover, the body of the prisoner has been handed over to his family.
