KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday has granted 90-day remand of Moazzam Ali Khan, accomplice to the murderers of Imran Farooq. The alleged criminal has revealed that Water Board former deputy director, Khalid Shamim was also part of the murder plot.
Earlier, Khan was arrested from Azizabad on Saturday night. He is accused of assisting the murderers of Farooq. He allegedly provided visas and financial support along with help in other matters. The security personnel are investigating the alleged culprit while his statement has also been recorded.
The Rangers will present Khan before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) today.
Khan’s wife, Sadia Bano has submitted a plea in the Sindh high Court (SHC) challenging her husband’s arrest.
According to the sources, the Pakistani authorities have informed the Scotland Yard’s team investigating the Imran Farooq murder case. The security personnel seized bank accounts’ information and other important documents during the raid at his house. Khan’s brother has also been arrested.
The brothers used to work in a boutique in Azizabad. Khan also had a travel agency office at Shara-e-Faisal which was closed down after providing visas to the alleged murderers. Khan was hiding in his house for the last five years as he was not permitted to go out.
