Summary Pakistan’s army is already in a war on both eastern and western borders: Talat Masood
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan is not ready to send its troops to Yemen, said military and foreign experts on Monday. General (R) Talat Masood, Imtiaz Gul and Rasool Bakhsh Raees said that sending troops to any other country is considered as invasion which Pakistan cannot afford. They said that Prime Minister’s policy about Yemen is justified.
Talat Masood said that the pressure will not be lifted but Pakistan should remain strict about the decision because Pakistan’s stability and security is first priority for them. He said that Pakistan’s army is already in a war on both eastern and western borders while it’s facing problems inside the country as well. He said that Pakistan should not even consider sending troops before any resolution comes from United Nations which bounds Pakistan to send troops to Yemen.
Senior analyst Imtiaz Gull said that while taking the decision on Yemen issue the palaiment did not get impressed by the royals of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He said that the Prime Minister was afraid to take any decision on his behalf so he raised the issue in Parliament which stood for the rights of Pakistani people and Pakistan’s security and made a very mature decision.
Imtiaz Gull said that Nawaz Sharif almost took a U-Turn today because there is still so much pressure on him.
