Summary There should be no media trial when the case is not even in court, says Waseem Akhtar
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Waseem Akhtar said that his party had no link with Moazzam Ali. He was talking in Dunya News talk show ‘On the Front’ on Monday.
He said that Imran Farooq murder case was being investigated in London while interior minister Chaudhry Nisar made Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in Pakistan when no case has even been filed yet.
Waseem said that there should be no media trail when the case is not even in court. When something gets proven in court then MQM will answer all the accusations, he added. He said that sometimes police arrest someone from one place and instead of telling the truth they show another place as the location of arrest. He said that police should arrest the right person instead of confusing things.
“We are suppoting Scotland Yard in solving this case as we also want the murderer of Imran Farooq to be arrested but media should avoid accusing anyone without proof”, said Waseem Akhtar.
