Summary Final lists of candidates along with election symbols have been released for local body elections

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – In what has come as a shock to Pakistan cricket team, World Cup 2015 star performer Sohail Khan has been dropped from the squad for Bangladesh tour due to back injury. He has been replaced by Junaid Khan, reported Dunya News.

According to details, Sohail Khan developed back pain during the training session. CT scan was then conducted and with bad report, Sohail had to be dropped from the squad for the tour.

Sources within Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have confirmed Sohail Khan’s ouster from the squad and informed that he has been replaced by Junaid Khan.LAHORE: (Daily Dunya) – Final lists of the 85 candidates taking part in 10 wards of Lahore cantonment local body elections along with the election symbols of the candidates have been released on Saturday, reported Daily Dunya. Elections will be held in the two cantonments of Lahore, Lahore Cantonment and Walton Cantonment, on 25th of April, 2015.

According to details, no candidate has been filed by Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the ward no. 6. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat Islami (JI) candidates will content one-on-one from this constituency. PPP did not file any candidate from Ward no. 5 and 6 as well.

A total of 96 polling stations have been set up in Lahore cantt. while 141,670 voters will exercise their right of vote in these elections.

Moreover, 140 candidates are taking part in 10 wards of Walton Cantt. where more than 200,000 voters will exercise their right.

Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) has filed no candidate for the local body elections in cantonment.
