ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The National Action Plan’s (NAP) performance report was presented to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday saying as many as 65 convicts have been executed and thirty thousand three hundred and fourteen operations have been conducted throughout the country ever since the strategic plan began.
The report said that various law enforcement institutions have arrested as many as 34,517 suspects involved in various crimes. Out of those 34,517; 763 are from Islamabad, 9 thousand from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 103 from Gilgit Baltistan, 185 from FATA, 2870 from Punjab, 7163 from Sindh, 19898 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 3526 from Balochistan.
It further said that security institutions conducted 30,314 countrywide operations out of which 406 were in Islamabad, 1491 in AJK, 96 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 97 in FATA, 15370 in Punjab, 6034 in Sindh, 6730 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 90 in Balochistan.
The report said that as many as 65 criminals convicted of extreme crimes have been executed until now. 51 of those executions took place in Punjab, 11 in Sindh, one in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and two in AJK.
