Summary Pervez Khattak inaugurated a school admission campaign in the province

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak on Wednesday has initiated a school admission campaign and has assured the people of provision of all required facilities in the government schools within two years.

He expressed these views while addressing the participants of the inaugural ceremony held at the Government Higher Secondary School Husnain Shaheed.

The CM said that the government school lack the facilities needed by the students. The political involvement in the institutions has crippled the education system of the province. He said that a primary school comprising of two rooms was constructed earlier and this practice destroyed the basics of the students.

Khattak said that the schools in several areas are not functional anymore. He guaranteed the people that in the coming two years the schools would be fully functional having all the facilities required by the students. He said that the provincial government has issued at least Rs 2 billion for the construction of boundary walls of the schools for security purposes.

Khattak said that at least 4,300 teachers are being probed for work shirking and not shouldering their responsibilities whereas as many as 800 government teachers have been terminated from services. An education system equal for all is being introduced in the province, he added.

The KP CM said that the promotional criterion for the teachers has been linked with the performance of the students.
