ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court on Tuesday received a letter sent by Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs regarding the formation of the judicial commission. A request has been made to Chief Justice regarding the formation of 3-member-bench, reported Dunya News.
Investigations regarding alleged rigging in 2013 elections are underway as Registrar Supreme Court has received the letter from Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
A sealed envelope was sent by Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs through Law Ministry in which a request was filed to form a three-member bench for a judicial commission.
According to sources a copy of ordinance, notification of formation of judicial commission by Law Ministry and Terms of Reference (TOR) were also attached with the sealed letter.
The registrar office has sent the letter to Chief Justice Nasirul Malik.
According to regulations, the judicial commission will investigate the alleged rigging in the elections in a span of 45 days.
