WEB DESK (Dunya News) – Ahsan Tehseen, the young Pakistani stuck in Yemen due to victimization by Pakistani ambassador to Yemen, had his return to Pakistan delayed yet again on Monday despite efforts by Dunya News.
Ahsan Tehseen who had been proven innocent in a police inquiry could not make his way back to his country due to interference from the Pakistani ambassador to Yemen, Dr Irfan Yusuf Shami.
Irfan Yusuf Shami had handed over Ahsan to police after leveling accusations on him, after which Dunya News became the sole voice to support the young Pakistani expatriate.
Foreign Office also gave assurance of his safe return yet the resentment of the ambassador meant that the way back to Pakistan was not easy sailing for the young man.
On reaching the point designated for convoy heading to Pakistan, the coordinator to embassy Adil Habib refused entry to Ahsan by saying that his name was not included on the list for evacuees.
Foreign Office has refused to comment on the matter so far.
The spokesperson has added the matter is being looked into by the FO.
