Benazir Bhutto assassination case: Hearing adjourned till April 13
Five judges have been changed till date in the Benazir murder case.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Hearing of Benazir Bhutto murder case was adjourned till April 13 due to non-appointment of new judge for Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), Dunya News reported on Monday.
According to details, the hearing was called off once again as the preceding ATC Judge Pervaiz Ismail Joiya was transferred to Chakwal whereas no new judge was appointed afterwards.
The previous hearing of the case was held in Adiala under Pervaiz Ismail Joiya who ordered DSP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) to present the record before the court and issued notice to summon more witnesses in the next hearing.
However, he was deployed as District and Session Judge Chakwal afterwards.
Moreover, the appointment of new judge could not be made due to which the hearing was adjourned without any proceeding till April 13.
It is pertinent to mention here that five judges have been changed till date in the Benazir murder case.
