Summary Workers of both the parties raised slogans against each other but no unwanted incident took place
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – The heated election campaign in NA-246, Karachi, continues as workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) yet again had a face off on Friday. Workers of both the parties came face-to-face in Federal-B Area and raised slogans against each other but no unwanted incident took place, reported Dunya News.
PTI leader Arif Alvi and NA-246 candidate Imran Ismail visited many areas of the Federal-B Area along with several other party leaders. When the PTI leaders arrived at a famous restaurant for meal, MQM workers also started to gather around the restaurant and started raising slogans against PTI.
PTI leaders enjoyed their meal as the slogans echoed around them. However, workers of both the parties came face-to-face when the PTI leaders came out of the restaurant. However, the situation was diffused as PTI leaders left the place.
Later, MQM workers gathered in large numbers outside PTI Camp Office in Karimabad. PTI workers also came forward and both started to raise slogans against each other.
As things heated up, workers started showing shoes to each other and the situation got tense.
Police tried to disperse the workers of both the parties and arrested two of MQM workers. DIG West said on this occasion that both parties were being provided with the security and police were ready to deal with any kind of situation.
