Summary Zardari said that Saudi Arabia's security is dear to him but region’s peace is also important

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A session of opposition leaders presided over by former president Asif Ali Zardari took place in Karachi to discuss whether or not Pakistan should militarily involve. The leaders agreed to summon an all parties conference (APC) to discuss the issue, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the session of opposition leaders took place at Bilawal House Karachi in which Zardari, Awami National Party (ANP) leader Asfandyar Wali, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar, Syed Sardar, Rashid Mehmood Soomro and Israrullah Zahri participated.

The session recommended, with mutual agreement, to summon an APC and discuss the conflict in detail there.

Zardari said while addressing the session that any decision about Pakistan’s involvement in the Yemen conflict must be taken by keeping all the parties on board.

He said the decision about inclusion and sending troops in the war must be taken after thorough consideration. Zardari said that Saudi Arabia’s security is dear to him but region’s peace is also important.

Former president said that a fire has erupted in Islamic countries, adding that the region’s security is in danger following the Yemen conflict.

He said Pakistan can play a key role in Yemen situation.
