Five more killed in Karachi target killings

At least five more people were killed in different incidents of target killings during the past in Karachi. A jail officer Ishaq Mion and his gunman were injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them.In another incident unknown gunmen on motorbike shot and killed Muhammad Ayub Naqvi near Nazmabad Number 6. Ayubs funeral prayers were offered in Imam Bargha Shah Karbala Rizwia Socitety. Two motorcyclists killed Tabish who was sitting in a rickshaw during the time of the attack. Tabish was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to injures. A vegetable vendor was killed in his home by unidentified attackers. Police termed the killing result of personal enmity.It is pertinent to note that the victims were associated with religious and political organizations. Police said the killings are part of a conspiracy to spark sectarian unrest in the city. The areas of Lyari, New Karachi and Nazimabad were tense after a fresh wave of targeted attacks in the city.
