Summary Detention of his client once it has been ended is contempt of court, says Advocate Rizwan Abbasi
ISLAMABAD Dunya News – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday has ordered the Secretary Interior and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Okara to appear before the court in person regarding the petition against Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi’s detention.
According to the details, Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi held hearing of the petition against Mumbai attacks alleged criminal Lakhvi. Lakhvi’s counsel Advocate Rizwan Abbasi maintained a stance that detention of his client once it has been ended is contempt of court. He urged the court to pursue legal action against Secretary Interior and DC Okara in light of contempt of court.
The court ordered the two to appear in person in the next hearing on April 4. The court also ordered both of them to submit their defense replies.
