LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least two dacoits were killed while one was arrested in injured condition during an alleged police shootout today (Wednesday) in Defence area of Lahore, Dunya News reported.
According to details, four dacoits were trying to escape after robbery at midnight when they encountered with police.
The robbers opened fire on the police officials retaliating to which two of the robbers identified as Awais Khan and Obaidullah were killed whereas one of their companion managed to escape.
According to police, the robbers belong to Afghan dacoit gang and were wanted in several cases.
The police also confiscated tracker jamming devices, number plates of cars and weapons from their possession whereas further investigation is underway in this regard.
Moreover, the dead bodies of the robbers were sent for autopsy.
