Summary The Interior Department requested DG Rangers to not remove the barriers in front of Bilawal House

KARACHI (Dunya News) – In an action to remove illegal areas from streets across Karachi, Rangers authorities on Wednesday cleared barriers placed in front of former president Pervez Musharraf’s residence.

Meanwhile, the Sindh Interior Department forwarded a request to Director General (DG) Rangers to not remove the barriers in front of Bilawal House.

However, barriers are yet to be removed from most of the areas of the city.

The deadline of three days by the Pakistan Rangers to remove illegal barriers has expired. The locals said that they are ready to remove all the barriers if they are ensured foolproof security. Moreover, the letter written to the DG Rangers by the Interior Department states that former president Asif Ali’s Zardari’s residence is vulnerable to terror attacks in light of recent threats so the security barriers should not be removed.

DG Rangers said that the Rangers personnel have completed their preparations to remove barriers from the entire city as these are hindrances in operations against criminals.
