The government has refused to appoint Tariq Khosa for the investigation of Haris Steel Mill case. Establishment Division said that Tariq Khosa is already working on a key position so he cannot be appointed as inquiry officer in this case. During the hearing of Haris Steel Mill case in the Supreme Court, a letter of the Establishment Division was presented in which it was maintained that Tariq Khosa is already working on a key position so he cannot be appointed as inquiry officer. In the letter, three names were suggested for the inquiry of Haris Steel Mill case. Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday said that some people in TV programmes are of the view that the court has no powers to appoint Tariq Khosa, they should file the review petition if have the courage. He said that as per section 28 of NAB, services from outside can be taken for the inquiry. He said that there is not clash with any one, its in the national interest but the high-ups think that which decision of the court is to implement. Legal expert S.M. Zafar while talking to Dunya News said that there was problem to appoint Tariq Khosa and the issue has been inflamed. He said that the court is hearing a number of important cases and it seems that clash between executive and judiciary will be heightened.
