Summary Shafqat Hussain is due to be executed tomorrow.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Dunya News obtained the birth certificate copy of death row inmate Shafqat Hussain today (Wednesday).
According to the birth certificate, the date of birth of Shafqat is October, 1, 1990 whereas his serial number on the birth register is 670.
Shafqat belongs to 515-Town Committee in district Shahdara.
The death row inmate was sentenced to death in 2004 in kidnapping and murder case of seven-year old minor Umair.
The mercy appeal of Shafqat was rejected by the Sindh High Court (SHC), Supreme Court (SC) and then by the former president Asif Ali Zardari in Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government.
The black warrant of Shafqat Hussain were issued by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) after the lift on the moratorium ban , however, Human Rights Organization (HRO) Justice Project highlighted the case on humanitarian grounds after which the execution of Shafqat Hussain was delayed.
Few days back, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar stated in the National Assembly that the point of young age of Shafqat Hussain was not raised on any stage but if anyone surfaced the facts then it will be taken into consideration.
Shafqat Hussain is due to be executed tomorrow.
